COST ACCOUNTANT ABOUT THE POSITION

  • To control and maintain the Pricing Database.
  • To ensure that all BOMs and recipes agree at all times and that any changes are updated timeously
  • To drive compliance to stock management procedures
  • To reconcile standard and actual cost variances on a monthly basis, and ensuring all adjustments are processed timeously.
  • To reconcile and balance stock accounts to Trial Balance
  • To ensure all Sales and Cost of Sales accounts are balanced and reconciled on a monthly basis.
  • To Maintain Bills of Materials for all SKU's and recipes.
  • To manage and maintain all parameters on Meat Matrix system to ensure accuracy of transactions.
  • To ensure all Financial Management Pack schedules are prepared accurately and timeously.
  • To actively analyses costs and provide Management with information for decision making.
  • GP analysis for Manufacturing Plants
  • Weekly Sales reporting and further analysis to explain deviations from Budget / Forecast.
  • Implement Daily Dashboards for cost analysis to drive cost efficiencies within plant
  • Assist in the Preparations of Budgets and Forecasts ensuring accuracy of the sales, cost of sales and gross profit margin numbers
  • Actively participate in activity-based costings, yield analysis, cost savings measures and all adhoc manufacturing related projects
  • Assist the Financial Manager in the analysis, commentary and compilation of the financial packs
  • Ensure accurate and complete Balance Sheet integrity Implement accurate yield reports
