About the Role
Our client, a leading player in the agricultural technology sector, is seeking a talented Technical Solutions Architect. This fully remote position allows you to contribute your expertise from anywhere within South Africa. You will be responsible for designing and proposing innovative technical solutions that address specific business challenges and opportunities. This role requires a blend of technical breadth and depth, with the ability to understand complex systems and articulate clear, concise solutions. You will work closely with sales, engineering, and product teams to understand customer needs and translate them into effective architectural designs. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for leveraging technology to solve real-world problems. Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect technical solutions based on client requirements and business needs.
- Collaborate with pre-sales teams to develop proposals and presentations for potential clients.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear and understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify and evaluate potential technology stacks and third-party integrations.
- Develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) and technical demonstrations.
- Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and align with best practices.
- Document technical designs and solution architectures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a solutions architect, system architect, or senior engineering role.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and architectural patterns.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.
- Familiarity with various programming languages and database technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Experience in the agricultural or IoT sector is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
