Job Purpose:To accurately and efficiently pick and prepare parcels or items for dispatch according to customer orders, ensuring quality, speed, and accuracy while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the warehouse.Key Responsibilities:Pick items according to order sheets or scanning devices (e.g., barcode scanners).Ensure the correct quantity and quality of items are picked.Place picked items in the correct bins, cages, or containers for delivery.Label, scan, and package items as required.Report any damaged, missing, or incorrect items to the supervisor immediately.Assist with stock counting and inventory control when required.Maintain a clean and organized picking area.Follow all health and safety regulations and warehouse procedures.Meet daily picking targets and performance standards.Minimum Requirements:Grade 10 or higher (Matric / Grade 12 advantageous)Previous experience in a warehouse, courier, or retail picking environment (advantageous but not essential)Basic reading, writing, and numeracy skillsAbility to operate barcode scanners or handheld picking devices (training can be provided)Physically fit and able to lift/move items up to 25kgAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentReliable and punctual
