Their reputation is built on engineering excellence, innovation, and strong customer partnerships.The Role: Technical Sales RepresentativeThe Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth across a diverse product portfolio, with a particular focus on components and assemblies for new motor vehicles and aftermarket accessories. This role blends consultative selling with technical problem-solving, guiding customers from initial concept and technical requirements through to production-ready designs and successful delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesMinimum 3 years of experience in technical sales or applications engineering within manufacturing or automotive supply chainsProactively source and qualify opportunities within the automotive and adjacent sectorsInterpret customer technical requirements and translate them into workable solutions and specificationsPresent and explain product features, benefits, and technical details; conduct demonstrations where requiredCollaborate with internal teams to prepare and refine technical drawings and specificationsSupport new product design from concept to final product, including material and tooling sourcingPartner with R&D and engineering teams on product development and continuous improvement initiativesPrepare quotations, negotiate terms, and consistently achieve sales targetsProvide post-sales support on installation, usage, and maintenance to ensure client satisfactionMaintain accurate account plans, pipeline activity, and travel regularly to customer sites and industry eventsAbout You3+ years proven experience in technical sales or applications engineering within manufacturing or automotive sectorsDegree or diploma in engineering, technical drawings, or a related disciplineValid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly across GautengStrong technical aptitude with proficiency in product design/technical drawing softwareSolid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost optimisationExcellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholdersHunter mindset with strong negotiation and closing skills, paired with a service-driven approachOrganised, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
