Introduction
A well-established ICT distribution company based in Sandton is looking for an experienced IT Technician to join their team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Upgrading and Downgrading of Desktops and Notebooks
- RAM upgrades
- SSD installations
- Imaging of specific operating systems
- Migrating data from old HDDs to new HDDs/SSDs
- SSD / Hard drive upgrades
- Replacing internal components (screens, keyboards, etc.)
- Operating system upgrades
- Asset tagging
- Creating client documentation for asset tagging
- Etching company logos on laptops and all-in-one PCs
- Upgrading Dell Servers
- HDD installations
- RAM installations
- Installing additional CPUs
- Installing BOSS controllers
- OS deployment (if arranged)
- Network card installations
- Administrative Tasks
- Capturing stock received in the technical department
- Submitting monthly stock reports to Management
- Recording OS upgrades in spreadsheets
- Sending OS upgrade spreadsheets for system capture
- Notifying sales representatives when OS upgrades are ready for invoicing and capturing invoice numbers on the main spreadsheet
- Assisting clients with remote support
- Offsite Work
- Performing installations at client premises (RAM upgrades, imaging, etc.)
Desired Experience & Qualification
Must have Matric and a relevant qualification.
Package & Remuneration
Basic Salary: R10 000 - R15 000 CTC pm.
Working days and hours: Monday to Friday 08h00 - 17h00
15 Days leave per annum
