KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
  • Using the CMM to measure wheels and conduct visual inspection for issuing of first-offs, SPC tracking and Capability studies.
  • Analyse the CMM results, inform relevant personnel on any discrepancies, raise and follow-up on containments (non-conformities), when required.
  • Using measuring instruments (verniers, micrometers, etc) to conduct manual measuring of significant characteristics
  • Support with conduct of Routine testing requirements and Product audits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum essential tertiary qualification: N6 in Quality or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Quality specific training in Core Tools (eg SPC) and CSRs would be advantageous.
Experience Required:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Machine Shop and at 2 years work experience in a Wheel manufacturing plant would be advantageous.
  • Should have thorough knowledge of the Machine Shop and IATF processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of Quality standards.
  • Knowledge of Problem Solving Methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and customer specifications.

  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Good decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, be a team-player.
  • Honest, have integrity and good communication skills.
