Main Purpose of the Role

The Senior Process Engineer will lead process engineering activities for mining and minerals processing projects, focusing on delivering high-quality, efficient, and innovative solutions. The role requires extensive experience in process engineering, particularly in PGM, Chrome, and Base Metals, and a strong background with reputable EPCM companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Engineering Leadership:

    • Manage and lead process engineering activities for mining and minerals processing projects.
    • Develop, review, and optimize process designs, flow sheets, and equipment specifications.

  • Technical Analysis and Optimization:

    • Perform metallurgical and chemical process calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure process efficiency.
    • Provide technical guidance during all project phases, including design, construction, commissioning, and handover.

  • Collaboration and Integration:

    • Work with multidisciplinary teams to align process engineering with overall project objectives.
    • Support client relationships by addressing technical queries and providing innovative solutions.

  • Compliance and Reporting:

    • Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
    • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation to stakeholders.

  • Experience:

    • Extensive experience in process engineering for PGM, Chrome, and Base Metals Concentrator projects.
    • Proven track record with leading EPCM companies in the mining and minerals processing industry.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong skills in metallurgical and chemical process calculations and simulations.
    • Ability to provide technical support and guidance during all project phases.
