Key responsibilitiesFieldwork: Collect and analyse samples of soil, water, and air to identify and assess pollution sources. This can include working outdoors in various weather conditions and collecting samples with high-precision equipment.Data analysis: Analyse and interpret laboratory results to evaluate environmental conditions and contamination levels.Reporting: Assist in preparing technical reports and presentations to document findings, ensure compliance, and present information to clients, regulators, and other stakeholders.Research: Conduct investigations to identify sources of pollutants and hazards.Collaboration: Work with clients, laboratories, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure project compliance and success.Technical assistance: Use computer software for environmental problem-solving and helpcoordinate with other disciplines on projects.Emergency response: Participate in on-call rotations to conduct emergency sampling and site work, often requiring travel with little notice.Requirements: A bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, biology, or a related field is typically required.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in technical report writing.Familiarity with water quality monitoring techniques and laboratory procedures is often needed.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for fieldwork
