Job Description

Duties will include:

  • Cost tendering, procurement, cost estimate, cost planning and cost management,
  • Analysing terms and conditions in the contract
  • Predicting potential risks in the project and taking precautions to mitigate such
  • Forecasting the costs of different materials needed for the project
  • Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements
  • Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals
  • Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents
  • Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Professional Registration would be advantageous

Skills

  • 5+years post-graduate experience in Civil Works Bulk Earthworks / Civil Structures
  • Exposure to professional costing technology such as CCS / Candy and Buildsmart will be required
  • Good communication skills
  • Valid drivers license
  • Own reliable transport
