Youll get to apply your actuarial expertise across multiple industries from insurance and medical schemes to retirement funds providing audit support, IFRS 17 and IAS 19 insights, and actuarial modelling and valuation work. This role is ideal for someone whos both technically sharp and commercially minded, who thrives in a collaborative, professional setting and enjoys building something new from the ground up.Key Responsibilities: Provide actuarial audit support to clients across life, non-life, retirement, and medical scheme sectorsReview and validate technical provisions, IFRS 17 and IAS 19 liabilities, and assist with reporting and documentationSupport IFRS 17 transition projects and help clients interpret policy decisions and their financial impactPerform modelling and valuation work covering liabilities, reinsurance, capital optimisation, and due diligenceAssist clients with actuarial function reviews, model validations, and process improvement initiativesConduct research and data analysis to deliver practical insights and recommendationsBuild trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders through professional engagementContribute to business development efforts, proposals, and thought leadership contentPlay an active role in establishing and growing the actuarial business unitJob Experience and Skills Required:Education: Qualified or nearly qualified Actuary (FASSA or equivalent)Experience:Prior experience in audit support or consulting ideally across insurance, retirement funds, or medical schemesFamiliarity with IFRS 17, SAM, reserving, and actuarial audit frameworks (ISA 540, IAS 19, and IFRS 13)Exposure to actuarial modelling and valuation workSkills:Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with excellent attention to detailOutstanding communication skills both written and verbalComfortable managing multiple complex tasks and working independentlyEntrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, collaborative approachProficiency in actuarial or analytical tools (Prophet, SQL, Python, SAS, Power BI, and MATLAB advantageous)Apply now For more exciting Actuarial and Analytics vacancies, please visit:
