The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data science methodologies, machine learning algorithms, and a proven ability to drive business insights through advanced analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage machine learning and statistical models to analyse large datasets from FMCG/Retail, uncovering patterns and trends that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and deploy predictive models for key business functions, such as demand forecasting, customer segmentation, and pricing optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, gather requirements, and present actionable insights that align with business goals.
  • Use data visualization tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent) to build dynamic dashboards that showcase key data science outputs.
  • Perform data extraction, cleaning, and transformation to prepare datasets for analysis.
  • Implement advanced analytical methods including regression, classification, clustering, and time series analysis.
  • Develop automated machine learning pipelines to improve data workflows and analytics efficiency.
  • Provide data storytelling to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders and drive data-driven business decisions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in data science roles, with significant experience in the FMCG or Retail industries.
  • Strong expertise in machine learning, statistical modelling, and predictive analytics.
  • Proficient in Python, R, or similar languages for data science and analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and familiarity with deploying models in a cloud environment.
  • Ability to communicate complex findings through clear, actionable insights and data storytelling.
