The Candidate
Candidates should possess a robust ability to forge new relationships, which could be evident from their previous experience in similar roles. Equally important is the skills in transforming established relationships into successful business opportunities. This proficiency is typically evidenced through a track record of significant agreements and contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Development: Proactively identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, acquisitions, and joint ventures, to expand the company's market presence and revenue stream
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, industry associations, customers to enhance the company's visibility and access to opportunities
  • Market and Opportunity Assessment: Keep abreast of market developments to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and growth levers in support of assessing new opportunities. Analysing global and local industry reports for assessment of a variety of markets, industries, competitive landscape in alignment with strategies of the companies.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to support the execution of commercial initiatives and opportunities
  • Performance monitoring: Monitor and analyze the performance of commercial projects and initiatives against established KPIs and objectives, and recommend improvement actions as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven track record of success in commercial management, corporate development, or business development roles
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across diverse stakeholder.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
