Job Title: Data Engineer (3DX) Marine Sector

Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-10 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with specific expertise in Dassault Systèmes 3D Experience (3DX) platform and marine sector applications.
  • Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
  • Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).

Beneficial requirements:
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL, data integration, and ETL tools; familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java is a plus.
  • Platform Knowledge: Extensive experience with 3DX data management, platform customization, and tool integration within a marine engineering context.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex data requirements in the marine sector.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and optimize data pipelines within the 3DX platform to support engineering processes and ensure seamless data flow.
  • Platform Integration: Implement data integrations with other marine engineering tools and systems, ensuring effective data sharing across platforms.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce data quality standards within the 3DX environment to maintain consistency, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze large datasets related to marine design and engineering, generating reports to support data-driven decision-making.
  • User Support & Training: Provide technical support and training to team members on 3DX data usage, best practices, and troubleshooting.
