Our client based in the Hermannsburg area is seeking a Factory Engineer to join their team. As the Factory Engineer, you will ensure that maintenance is carried out efficiently, manage projects, ensure high levels of plant efficiency, maximum production, minimal down time, and to ensure the health and safety of employees. You will ensure that the plant meets with environmental and energy requirements.

Minimum requirements:

  • BSc degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical)
  • GCC (Government Certificate of Competency) – Factories
  • At least 6 years practical experience in an industrial process plant, including knowledge of boiler operations
  • Including at least 5 years’ experience in leading a maintenance team of qualified personal
  • At least 5 years’ experience in managing a computerised maintenance system
  • At least 5 years’ experience in safety management and quality control systems
  • Computer literate in MS Office

Key Performance Areas:

  • Manage factory engineering projects
  • Manage the factory maintenance and construction program
  • Manage the company assets of the factory site
  • Manage the factory safety program
  • Ensure that production and safety standards are in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Ensure effective performance of subordinates and teams
  • Comply with the requirements of ISO and Quality Management Systems
