Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Financial Manager. This is a full-time, onsite position, offering the opportunity to work closely with the executive team and gain broad exposure to the business. Eligible to register as a Key Individual in respect of the FSCA.Job Description:As the Senior Financial Manager, you will be accountable for the accounting function for the group and key financial processes in servicing customers. You will report directly to the Commercial Director and work closely with other members of the senior management team. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Managing the accounting function.Directing and leading the Finance Department team.Ensuring IFRS compliance. Being responsible for monthly reporting, Annual Financial Statements of several companies, and audit engagement. Experience with, or a sound conceptual understanding of, the principles inherent in a financing business. Handling VAT & income tax returns & SARS queries. Managing insurance matters. Overseeing budgets. Key process management, including ensuring effectiveness, maintaining efficiencies, and signing off process compliance activities. Managing projects (Sculpt, Plan, Execute, and Debrief), including coordination, managing project resources, preparing reports, timeous delivery, and alerting management to exceptions. Cash flow management & forecasts. Compiling and presenting reports to Exco. Preparing reports for Board meetings and funders. Performing ad hoc tasks. Desired Skills and Experience:Minimum of 15 years' experience, preferably with exposure to mid-sized companies and reporting to external stakeholders. Leadership experience in a financial role. Working knowledge of IFRS. Project management experience. Proficiency in general Microsoft Office tools, with advanced Excel skills. Exposure to ERP systems & Xero/Sage/Quickbooks. Flexibility to adapt with business changes.
