About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Remote Fleet Dispatch Manager to lead their dispatch operations from a fully remote setting. This role is vital for coordinating the daily activities of their fleet, ensuring all deliveries are executed efficiently, safely, and on time. You will manage a team of remote dispatchers, oversee route planning, and troubleshoot operational issues as they arise. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of fleet management systems, and a proven ability to manage a distributed team effectively, contributing significantly to the company's logistical success from anywhere. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and manage a team of remote dispatchers to ensure optimal performance and adherence to company standards.
- Oversee daily dispatch operations, including assigning routes, monitoring vehicle movements, and managing driver schedules.
- Implement and refine dispatch procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce delivery times, and minimize operational costs.
- Utilize fleet management software and GPS tracking systems to maintain real-time visibility of the fleet.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving dispatch-related issues, driver concerns, and customer inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and transportation laws in the areas of operation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in fleet dispatch or logistics management, with significant experience in remote team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of transportation logistics , route planning, and dispatch software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate a remote team, fostering a productive work environment.
- Proficiency in using fleet management systems and data analysis tools.
