Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients across various industries, ensuring financial compliance with VAT, SARS, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and reports for clients.
  • Oversee bookkeeping, payroll, and reconciliation processes.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to clients and management.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the internal team on projects and reporting matters.
  • Innovate and introduce improvements in the financial management processes for more complex client accounts.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Qualifications:
    • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Xero certification or substantial experience with Xero is non-negotiable.
  • Skills & Experience:
    • At least 2+ years of relevant work experience within an accounting firm is highly desirable.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles, VAT, and tax regulations.
    • Afrikaans proficiency is required for internal communication. While candidates can respond in English, they must be able to comprehend Afrikaans for team interactions.
    • Highly analytical with the ability to solve problems and think independently.
    • Experience working with multiple clients across various industries is a plus.
