Assistant Finance ManagerRole Summary and PurposeThe Assistant Finance Manager will be at the heart of driving financial excellence, working side by side with the Financial Manager to oversee the full finance function. It is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-focused, solutions-driven professional who is ready to step up and accelerate their journey into finance leadership.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial resultsManage reconciliations of accounts, bank statements, and supplier invoices to ensure accuracy and complianceSupport the budgeting and forecasting processes, tracking variances and highlighting risks or opportunitiesOversee expense management and implement cost-control initiatives in line with business objectivesProvide input into payroll processing and statutory submissions (VAT, PAYE, and other returns)Coordinate with auditors and prepare year-end audit filesMaintain effective financial systems, processes, and controls to safeguard company assetsEnsure timely processing of payments and manage transactional banking requirementsProvide financial insights and reporting to management for decision-making purposesMaintain strict confidentiality and ensure adherence to company financial policiesMinimum QualificationsGrade 12 / Matric (essential)Bachelors degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)Skills and CompetenciesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of accounting systems (Sage, Pastel, or Xero)Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven ability to interpret financial dataExcellent attention to detail with strong organisational and time management abilitiesAbility to work effectively under pressure, prioritising multiple deadlinesStrong communication skills and ability to liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levelsExperience RequiredMinimum of 4-6 years progressive finance or accounting experience, preferably within a head office or corporate environmentExperience in reporting, compliance, and financial operationsWork LocationCenturion, GautengContract TypePermanent, full-time
