  • Assist in budget preparation and cost analysis for purchasing activities
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Ensure procurement activities are within budget constraints
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for management
  • Work closely with other departments, such as operations, finance, and engineering, to understand procurement needs
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align purchasing activities with project timelines and requirements
  • Provide regular updates on procurement status and any issues or delays
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, new products, and suppliers
  • Analyze market conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities in the supply chain
Minimum Requirements:
  • Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in buying, with a focus on mining equipment and materials
  • Strong knowledge of the mining industry, including its equipment and materials requirements
  • Proficiency in ERP software and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • MS Excel reporting - advanced
