Candidate requirements:

  • Matric
  • Degree / Diploma in Nature Conservation, Wildlife Management, Ecology or similar is preferable
  • Strong nature conservation knowledge: This includes understanding local fauna and flora, conservation laws, and principles of habitat management.
  • Must possess practical game farm management skills: This includes skills in animal husbandry, habitat restoration, monitoring wildlife, and implementing conservation strategies.
  • Must possess excellent physical fitness and be capable of performing tasks such as patrolling, animal capture and relocation and habitat maintenance.
  • Must possess technical skills such as operating vehicles and equipment, firearms, radio communication systems and GPS devices
  • Must possess excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think on their feet
  • Must exhibit a willingness to learn and true passion for conservation
  • Must be willing to work extremely hard and long hours and to get hands dirty
