Requirements
  • Must have a formal technical qualification preferably an artisan. (All other qualifications will be considered.)
  • Must have practical working experience as an artisan or similar.
  • Must have a formal draughting qualification.
  • Must be proficient in Solidworks 3-5 yrs. experience other packages will be a benefit.
  • Must be able to do advanced assembly design for 500 parts or more.
  • FEA and Simulation will be an advantage.
  • Sheet metal design is a must.
  • Must be able to optimize designs within Solidworks.
  • Must be able to generate a bill of materials within Solidworks.
  • Must be able to generate 2D drawings for GA, fabrication and manufacturing in Solidworks.
  • Must have a valid drivers licence.
  • Project experience will be beneficial must be able to do it from start to finish
  • Microsoft Office experience
General Duties
  • Liaise with customers.
  • Drawing revisions and design reviews.
  • Managing other staff.
  • Timing plans and deadline management.
  • Development.
  • Fabrication drawings and revision control.
  • On site measurements
