Mpact Corrugated Division is seeking young, energetic and recently qualified engineers, as detailed below, that is willing to grow within the Division. In order for a company to stay on top of its game, it needs to be constantly looking at ways to perform more efficiently. Processes need to be analyzed and changes made where improvements will optimize the organizational performance. The incumbents will be based at our Mpact Corrugated Gauteng operations with the opportunity to start a growth path as part of the Continuous Improvement department.

Qualifications:

Grade 12/Matric certificate essential

Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering degree/diploma

Job requirements:

  • Computer literacy and in-house systems knowledge are beneficial
  • Must be able and willing to work shifts and overtime when required
  • Ability to work independently, proactive, responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must be willing and able to travel for work and training purposes

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Analyses the companys processes and makes suggestions on how to improve them.
  • Working with the Operations and Supply Chain teams in recognizing opportunities of improvement.
  • Suggest and implement changes, and sustain improvements.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction
  • Planning, facilitating, and executing continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools
  • Teaching, leading, and coaching cross-functional teams on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology
  • Working to continuously improve processes both on the production floor as well as transactional by collaborating with multiple functions such as logistics
  • Be proactive and take the necessary preventive and corrective action as required by the above-named systems.
