Job Title: Paraplanner

Location: Durban North

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paraplanner to join our team. As a finance expert, the primary role of the Paraplanner will be to support and assist financial planners in their daily activities. This position is designed for a young professional aspiring to become a Financial Advisor in the long term.

Job Purpose:

The Paraplanner will play a critical role in enhancing the effectiveness of financial planners by managing essential background tasks. This support will enable financial planners to focus more on client interactions and deliver exceptional financial planning services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:

    • Answer phone calls and respond to emails.
    • Schedule appointments and organize client records.
    • Maintain accurate data entries.

  • Research and Analysis:

    • Assist in researching various investment options.
    • Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations to financial planners for the planning process.

  • Report Preparation:

    • Write analytical reports based on financial data and research, aiding financial planners in making informed decisions.
    • Prepare financial projections and reports for clients to support planners during client interactions.

  • Compliance and Technical Support:

    • Conduct thorough research for compliance checks and create suitability reports.
    • Address any technical queries posed by clients to ensure seamless communication.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Educational Background:
    • Matric Certificate.
    • Bachelors degree in Finance or a related field.
    • Completion of the Certified Financial Planning (CFP) program.

  • Establish and pursue performance goals and objectives.
  • Meticulous, analytical, and process-driven approach to tasks.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to summarize complex information effectively.
  • Fully computer literate and proficient in relevant software applications.
