About the job Site Supervisor - Mining & Construction - KZN
Our client is a prominent provider of plant and equipment hire services to the mining and construction industries. With a strong focus on large open cast mining operations, they are committed to delivering high-quality solutions that ensure efficiency and safety on-site.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Supervisor to join our client's dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage and oversee site operations, ensuring the successful execution of large-scale mining projects while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage day-to-day site activities on large open cast mining operations.
- Ensure that all site operations adhere to safety standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with plant operators, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor the performance of equipment and machinery, ensuring proper functioning and minimal downtime.
- Lead a team of on-site personnel, ensuring efficient use of resources and delivering quality service.
- Implement and oversee preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment breakdowns.
- Liaise with clients to ensure project requirements and timelines are met.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the mining or construction industry.
- Must have obtained the Examiner Makesafe qualification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in mining operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve site-related issues efficiently.
