Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and preparation of all Local annual and quarterly financial and regulatory reporting on an IFRS 17 basis, including AFS and SAM QRT's
  • Performance of IFRS 17 and Finance-related checks for quarterly and annual closing processes
  • Preparation of finance reports for various committee meetings
  • Support in annual planning and ORSA
  • Monitoring of monthly expenses against plan and forecast
  • Assistance in maintaining an internal control environment
  • Engagement with external auditors for financial statements sign-off
  • Collaboration with Local and Group functions
  • Support for the Group IFRS17 program
  • Project support on an ad hoc basis

About You

The ideal candidate is proactive, agile, and pragmatic in problem-solving, working well under tight deadlines with multiple stakeholders. You exhibit high performance, personal accountability, and flexibility to work in team and independent settings.

  • Chartered Accountant South Africa or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, with 2 years in South African insurance
  • Strong expertise in South African Insurance reporting, including IFRS 17
