Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Std 8 I Grade 10 or equivalent
Must be registered with the Locksmith's Association of South Africa (LASA) and the Private Security
Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA)
At least five (5) years' relevant working experience doing Locksmithing tasks (experience in the construction sector will be an added advantage
A valid Driver's licence

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
Check job cards on BMJLS system and sign-off jobs completed
Cut new or duplicate keys from existing keys, patterns, or codes
Install, repair, adjust and replace locks and other door closures around various buildings and facilities
Provide new/replacement keys and open up locks
Repair and maintain an existing lock systems
Keep accurate records of keys
Maintain Master key system
Scheduling of work and priority of works to be completed
Safety – Ensure that safety measure are observed & report health and safety issues.
Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Maintenance Foreman or Maintenance Manager.
