Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a close working relationship with key functional stakeholders to understand their business operations and system usage
  • Collaborating with the Head of Applications and the software vendor to comprehend system capabilities, configuration options, and recommended approaches to usage
  • Developing expertise in eFront's administration and reporting capabilities
  • Acting as the initial point of contact for eFront technical inquiries and providing first-line support
  • Investigating and analyzing application issues and promptly notifying the relevant business areas
  • Ensuring that all system faults and technical issues are logged, prioritized, tracked, and resolved
  • Maintaining a relationship with the vendor, managing bug resolutions, patches, and upgrades
  • Performing day-to-day administration functions like user account management and access permission changes
  • Implementing mechanisms to ensure seamless system operation in line with business needs
  • Developing processes to comply with the business general controls environment
  • Collaborating with functional users to translate business requirements into functional delivery requirements
  • Configuring eFront to align with business needs, including screen customization, server scripts, and access rights adjustments
  • Creating and updating support documentation, incident management procedures, technical specifications, and user guides
  • Managing change implementations without disrupting service continuity, following change policy and procedures
  • Coordinating system upgrades and user acceptance testing
  • Monitoring system performance metrics and taking corrective actions when necessary
  • Monitoring and managing data feeds to ensure maximum availability
  • Documenting policies, procedures, and data management techniques within the systems domain
  • Overseeing all user procedures and reference manuals

The Successful Applicant

Skills & Experience

  • Customer Support
  • Experience in providing direct systems support to end users
  • Demonstrating high levels of customer service, including strong relationship skills, proactive issue resolution, and commitment fulfillment
  • Dealing with senior end users in a dynamic business environment, preferably in investment management or financial services
  • Creating end-user documentation such as guides and tooltips
  • Escalating and following up on bugs and issues with the system vendor
  • Collaborating with external partners for system customizations
  • Required Technical Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with investment accounting systems like eFront, Investran, and Geneva
  • Understanding business requirements for investment accounting in Private Equity or similar sectors
  • Proficient in SQL and MS Office suite, especially Excel
