REQUIREMENTS- Matric, relevant qualification advantageous
- Proven experience in sales within the building industry, preferably specializing in tiles or related products
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
- Independent worker, self-motivated to drive sales and achieve goals
- Basic understanding of technical aspects related to tile detailing, construction, and architecture will be beneficial for interpreting architectural plans and recommending suitable tile solutions
- Strong communication & negotiation skills
- Ability to identify clients' needs and propose solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software is required for maintaining records, quotations, and managing client interactions
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle may be required
- A developed client base in this industry, building relationships with architects, contractors etc.
DUTIES
- Client Communication and Project Refinement establishing clients requirements
- Market Research and Supplier Identification
- Compiling a definitive list of products to present to client, liaise with sales coordinator, together manage the costing, stock availability & organise samples
- Develop relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, and other key stakeholders in the construction and design industries
- Actively prospect new clients and identify opportunities for business growth
- Provide expert product knowledge and guidance to clients on design tailored solutions
- Collaborate with internal team, including customer service, logistics, and marketing
- Process quotations, ensure accuracy before handing over to sales coordinator
- Discuss tile detailing such as tile trims, cutting, and tiling layouts
- Effectively instruct the sales & operations team on technical requirements per project
- Read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
- Extract accurate measurements from plans providing precise quotations to clients.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure profitable deals
- Stay informed about industry trends, new product developments, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote company products and expand market reach
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business transactions using CRM software
