SENIOR SPA RECEPTIONIST

CAMPS BAY - Atlantic Seaboard - Western Cape , South Africa

Starting Date: A.S.A.P / May 2024

Reports to: Spa Manager

TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS:

  • Tuesday - Saturday
  • CLOSED Sundays & Mondays

REMUERATION & COMPANY BENEFITS:

  • R10,000 - R14,000 (Based on relevant skills and experience offered)
  • Commission & Incentives

SCOPE OF THE JOB:

  • Responsible for the effective and efficient running of the spa front desk & reception area
  • Oversee smooth operations of the spa in absence of Spa Manager
  • Treating all guests and staff with the utmost care and professionalism to create an inviting, professional and calm atmosphere.
  • Continuously upskill yourself through practice and study.
  • Ensure 5 star service excellence is upheld at all times

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS::

  1. Diploma in Spa / Beauty or Hair obtained from a recognized, accredited training provider
  2. Hospitality / Business or Spa Administration qualification - BONUS
  3. ITEC / City & Guilds / SAAHSP / CIDESCO accredited
  4. Reliable transport to work
  5. Ability to work under pressure and coordinate a very busy front of house
  6. Friendly and professional communications (face to face, over the phone and via digital)
  7. Be impeccably groomed and presentable - you are the face of our spa

EXPERIENCE:

  1. Cruise Ship employment experience highly beneficial
  2. Minimum of FIVE years in a spa/salon environment
  3. Knowledge of Spa services & terminology
  4. Minimum of TWO years in an administrative role
  5. Management experience beneficial
  6. Computer & Booking Software confident

SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the manager/s where operationally required
  • Marketing of spa services - boost bookings by upselling advice
  • Deliver outstanding Customer Service - ensure customers are attended to at all times (telephone / front desk / waiting area etc.)
  • Hosting guests - do tours of the spa
  • Financial management - reports, cash-up, process payments etc.
  • Inventory & Stock management - identify shortages & record all sales accordingly
  • Compliance & Safety
  • Implementation of SOP's
