Minimum requirements for the role:
- Must have a bachelors degree in agriculture, mechatronics, or related field, with a focus on drones, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in technical support or a similar role
- Must have a completed Remote Pilot License (RPL) with proven flight experience
- Experience in customer technical training with strong presentation skills are essential
- Passion for the commercial agricultural drone market
- Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel up to 50% of the time, locally and internationally
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be required
- Must have strong technical expertise combined with a commercial aptitude
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Overseeing and executing drone service and repair strategies in KwaZulu-Natal while collaborating with agricultural drone customers and contractors.
- Developing and managing service and support documentation for third-party service providers, ensuring high-quality post-sale service.
- Maintaining technical relationships with business partners, providing training and necessary parts for optimal service.
- Leading demonstration days and training sessions as a licensed Remote Pilot (RPL), offering ongoing support in the region.
- Becoming a product expert, showcasing the benefits of drones and assisting with sales.
- Identifying opportunities, following up with customers, and driving the planning and execution of demonstration days.
