Overview

Our Client within the Construction and Civil Engineering Industry is seeking a Junior Estimator to join their team. The successful incumbent will support the estimating team in preparing cost estimates for construction projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • 2+ years in the construction industry
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Computer literate (Strong Excel and Word skills)

Job Requirements

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Assist with tender submissions.
  • Package RFQ (Request for Quotations).
  • Compile comprehensive BOQ (Bills of Quantities).
  • Measure and create BOQs from drawings.
  • Attend site clarification meetings for tenders and provide feedback to Senior Management.
  • Follow up on RFQs sent to sub-contractors to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Build relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers to secure the best market prices.
