Our client has a position available for a Factory Shop Manager to join their team as soon as possible.

The incumbent is responsible for the full Debtors function which includes, billing, receiving of payments, collection of outstanding accounts, resolving debtors’ queries and the bookkeeping function involved through this process.

MINIMUM DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greeting customers as they enter the store
  • Working at the point-of-sale counter to process transactions
  • Assisting customers in locating products by going through the inventory
  • Calling other warehouses to find items that are not available in the store based on customer requests
  • Suggesting new items to customers based on their selections
  • Entering sales data and customer data into the company database
  • Keeping records of special orders / donations
  • Monitoring the merchandise and notifying a superior when items need to be restocked
  • Arranging items such as special sale items to engage customers
  • Building customer relationships
  • Daily Stock Control / Placement of Orders with Warehouse
  • POS Cashups
  • Administration tasks
  • Monthly Stock Takes
  • Working hours Mon-Thurs 7h30 to 17h00
  • Working hours Friday 07h30 to 15h30 (13h30 every second Friday)
  • Working hours once per month on the 1st Friday of the month the shop needs to open at 06h00.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION

  • Matric
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience in a similar role within a Retail / Manufacturing environment
  • Preference will be given to Equity Candidates
