The ideal applicant will possess the following:-

  • A minimum of Grade 12 (Std. 10) or equivalent academic qualification.
  • Qualified Diesel Mechanic
  • At least 5-8 years of working experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance.
  • At least 2 years in a management position.
  • A post-matric qualification in the technical / N4 engineering field will be a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record in vehicle fleet management.

Duties

  • Assist in managing the Technical Budget.
  • Oversee maintenance of the vehicle fleet.
  • Manage maintenance of facilities, tools and equipment.
  • Control workshop tools and equipment.
  • Manage Engineering Administration functions.
  • Supervise Workshop Personnel and identify developmental needs.
  • Ensure that the Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulations are adhered to in the workshop.
  • Monitor Asset Register.
  • Liaise with Manufacturers and Suppliers to ensure optimal service delivery.
