Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
  • Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Install new machinery and assist with commissioning and start-up procedures.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize processes.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in training junior maintenance staff as needed.
  • Fault finding on electronic controls: i.e., VFD's, HMI's, PLC's
  • Improve bottling line efficiency through changes to automated controls
  • Utilize technical skills in troubleshooting, adjusting, and repairing packaging machinery that demonstrates.
Qualifications:
  • Trade qualification as a Millwright or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs and automation systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
