Requirements:
  • 10 years of experience in a production environment.
  • Diploma / NQF level 5 in Production Management / Industrial Engineering.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
  • Evaluates operational workflows and procedures to improve job processes on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensures optimization of resources with respect to current workloads.
  • Ensures maintenance and optimal usage of resources and recommends additions or replacement of resources.
  • Monitors and ensures that all resources conform to guidelines.
  • Ensures fast and timeous delivery of parts to customers according to schedule.
  • Ensures optimization of machinery to maximize capacity utilization.
  • Manages and ensures effective and efficient maintenance of production processes.
  • Reports production statistics, productivity etc. to the General manager on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Ensures that the working environment contributes to improve staff morale and increase productivity.
  • Responsible for planning of the day-to-day operations.
  • Inspects facility and equipment to determine need and extend of service, equipment required, type of equipment required, and production staff required.
  • Optimizes resources to control and reduce costs.
  • Coordinating with other departments, such as HR, Sales and Purchasing, to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals.
  • Maintain & set production objectives, KPIs and challenges.
