We are looking for a young Draftsman to work with our team creating innovative manufacturing and engineering solutions.

Working with customers and end users across Africa to develop and deliver custom-built solutions to fulfil unique and specialised engineering requirements.

Essentials

• 3 to 4 years' design experience in similar role

Tertiary qualification

• Engineering, Design, drafting degree from technical college

AutoDesk Inventor or Solid works:

• Interaction with clients, Understanding their needs and educate clients on the possibilities with custom build containers/conversions
• Development of details manufacturing drawings
• Development of Bill Of Materials
• Good Mathematical skills

Responsibilities

• Liaise with architects and engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs
• Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials
• Describe production methods stepbystep (including equipment and software types to be used)
• Create detailed designs with computeraided design (CAD) software
• Design diagrams, maps and layouts to illustrate workflow
• Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the engineering team
• Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality
• Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards
• Interaction with clients, understanding their needs and educate clients on the possibilities with custom build containers/conversions
• Development of details manufacturing drawings
• Development of Bill Of Materials
• Compilation of quotations
• Sourcing of prices of items

Salary:

Civil Drafting: 2 years (required)
