A well established firm based in Cape Town is looking for an experienced and qualified Audit Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the audit process from planning, execution to reporting;
- Prepare and execute audit plan;
- Prepare and present audit reports, including reporting at Audit Committee meetings;
- Plan and manage other audit team members;
- Oversees and manage audit budget;
- Train, coach, develop and appraise audit team; and
- Key client liaison on behalf of the firm
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage the Audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters;
- Demonstrate the ability to lead and manage fieldwork on client's sites including liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the Audit process;
- Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters;
- Demonstrate expertise in using Draftworx to perform an assurance engagement incompliance with auditing standards; and Identify areas requiring improvement in the client's business processes and possible recommendations and prepare and deliver Management Letter to be provided to the client.
- Effectively manage the Audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters;
- Lead and manage fieldwork on client's sites including liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the Audit process;
- Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters in both private and public sector audits;
- Identify areas requiring improvement in the client's business processes and possible recommendations;
Requirements:
- CA(SA)
- Completed Bcom or Bcompt Accounting degree
- Completed Honours degree
- Completed SAICA Articles
- 35years post articles experience
- Manufacturing and costing experience
- Public sector, Private Sector and JSE listed experience
- Valid driver's license.
