Responsibilities:

As a junior journalist at Food For Mzansi, you will play a crucial role in supporting both our news and business development teams.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Assisting in the research, writing, and editing of news articles, features, and business reports related to the agricultural industry.
Conducting interviews with key stakeholders, farmers, and industry experts.
Collaborating with senior journalists and editors to ensure the accuracy and quality of content.
Providing support in the development and execution of business development initiatives.
Monitoring industry trends and staying up to date with developments in agriculture.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in journalism or agricultural sciences.
Strong language abilities and excellent communication skills.
Curiosity and a keen interest in agricultural and agribusiness topics.
Energetic and enthusiastic with a proactive approach to learning.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

Strong writing and research skills.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Basic understanding of agricultural practices and the agribusiness landscape.
Valid drivers licence.
