Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant Position at Montague Gardens - Salary R18,000 Per Month

We are currently seeking an experienced individual familiar with the nuances of the Manufacturing Industry. Candidates not meeting the specified criteria will not be considered for this opportunity.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Handle daily financial transactions, including supplier payments.
  • Ensure precision and promptness in financial transaction processing.
  • Regularly reconcile bank statements to validate financial accuracy.
  • Identify and promptly correct any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with other teams to aid in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Offer financial insights to facilitate decision-making.
  • Calculate costs for machinery and sales items.
  • Analyze cost structures and suggest cost-saving strategies.
  • Process payroll accurately to ensure timely salary disbursements.
  • Adhere to legal requirements pertaining to payroll and taxes.
  • Requirements:
  • Hold a degree or diploma in accounting or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector.
  • 4 years of experience. Initiated articles or pursued a degree in accounting at an accounting firm and now pursuing new job opportunities.
  • Degree with 2-4 years of experience at an accounting firm.
  • Registered with SIPA (or an equivalent professional body).
  • Proficient in preparing SARS returns (tax-related submissions).
