Responsibilities:

  • Assist the 1st and 2nd Cooks in preparing highquality meals for passengers and crew members
    on board the cruise ship:
  • Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality of food
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, following all sanitation and safety procedures
  • Help with inventory management and food ordering to ensure adequate supplies are on hand for meals
  • Support in the planning and execution of special events and themed dinners
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of buffet stations and dining areas
  • Collaborate with the entire culinary team to continuously improve menu offerings and guest satisfaction
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills and knowledge
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and hygiene
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fastpaced and dynamic environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen or culinary school training preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from superiors
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to different cultures and cuisines
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and work in a hot and fastpaced kitchen environment

Salary:
R20 000,00 - R40 000,00 per month
