**Job Description

• Some of the key responsibilities for this role include**:
• Conduct safety meetings and Risk Assessments
• Reporting on safety and deviations and record results of all legal examinations
• Achievement of safe production performance levels through the effective maintenance, installation and commissioning of equipment
• Manage breakdowns and emergencies as well as Planned Maintenance
• Ensure that material, spares and equipment are available as required and job cards are fully completed
• Supervision of external service providers and internal Engineering Assistants
• On the job training and coaching for our trainee artisans

This role is in the Engineering department at a C2 level and reports into the Electrical Foreman.
**Qualifications

• In order to be successful in this role, you will need**:
• Grade 12 and Technical Trade Specific N
• Electrician Trade Certificate
• Medium Voltage Certificate / Training would be an advantage
• Experience with Variable Speed Drives and Simocodes will be an advantage

Some additional requirements will include:

• English literacy speak, read and write
• You will be available to work shifts and overtime if necessary as well as be on standby
• Valid code 08 drivers licence, your own vehicle would be an advantage
• Basic computer literacy

If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test.
