Job Summary


To provide advice and support in the development and implementation of equity and investment research planning, service delivery processes, methods and techniques; enabling the provision of well-researched market and company information to inform investment decision making.


Job Description:

Research Formulation:

Responsible for providing market and investment research reports, recommendations and other insights on individual companies, securities, sectors and asset classes.

Pulling together of market insights, to put together proposals and presentations to both internal and external stakeholders | Stakeholder Management:

Job Description:

  • Equity research on sectors and individual securities' investment case and presenting to the relevant investment committee(s) and forums
  • Conducting research on global and local trends and themes driving the various sectors of the market
  • Monitoring major market corporate events and presenting the impact on the company to the investment committee
  • Writing frequent market updates on major market and company developments and news
  • Stakeholder engagement, identifying problems, designing solutions, executing and project management across multiple disciplines and functions
  • Contributing and participating in portfolio management, advisory & distribution support, product development, investment collateral and technical marketing
  • Designing, monitoring and performance analysis of modelled and client portfolios on a regular and ad hoc basis
  • Contributing to setting the Strategic Asset Allocation and monthly Tactical Asset Allocation reviews
  • Contributing to local and global research on market trends and conditions across all asset classes; listed equities, property, fixedincome securities and alternatives
  • Writing quarterly statements, monthly publications and eventdriven high quality reports & presentations on houseview market & economic outlook
  • Gathering data, performing statistical, quantitative & fundamental analysis; and building market & economic forecasts
  • Modelling client portfolios, trade executions and model rebalancing

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years experience in equity research, management consulting, corporate strategy, private equity, investment management, corporate finance and/or financial services
  • Strong strategy, financial, corporate finance, communication and technical skills
  • Passion for markets, investments, finance and macroeconomics
  • Relevant qualifications in related fields including but not limited to actuarial science, investment management, finance, commerce, accounting etc.
Education

Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas:
Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
