The somatologist will carry out services of a somatologist at the SSMMH Wellness centre to instil physical and mental well-being of the patients.


Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school matric
  • Accredited Somatologist qualification
  • 1+ year experience as a somatologist

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of the SSMMH Wellness programme
  • Assisting patients in achieving individual selfcare needs
  • Ensuring safety of patients during patient sessions
  • Provide patient individual sessions in the Wellness center
  • Participate in combined MDT and SSMMH events
  • Responsible for care and upkeep of the somatology area
  • Updating of inventory and consumables utilized in the somatology area
  • Ensuring that all equipment and tools are safe for patient use
  • Assist in maintaining and improving the goals of the organization
  • Liase with the MDT regarding patient's needs
  • Completion of clinical records based on operational tool implemented at the organization
  • Tracking of patient's progress based on clinical data recorded
