Business Development Manager (BDM) - HospitalityOur client is a South-African born company specializing in the agricultural sector delivering a produce that is unique for both the local and international markets.
They are looking to recruit a dynamic BDM who could assist our customers achieve their potentials by providing them with Business Intelligence and a solid growth plan.
Being customer focused, our BDM is a vital decision maker in our organization.Technical and Scientific product knowledge is an essential platform for your success, and our BDMs are hands-on, taking complete ownership of our customer's experience.
Tasks:
Our BDM's call on our valued retail customer (PnP's Spar, Food Lovers and various independents, etc.)Developing new business by opening new accounts.
This is done by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, and attending trade shows and conferencesMotivate, activate, and monitor in-store promotions.
Often over weekends, you will have promotional teams you would manage, not necessarily be there in personBDMs are responsible for the order & delivery process, customer stock, shelf management & occasional complaintsManagement of your Delivery and Tele-Sales Team (206 people0Attend regular training meetingsMaintain customer records, using a bespoke CRM- Skynamo
