Our client who is in the agriculture sector is seeking a skilled crop scientist to service commercial agricultural producers in the Southern region of Zambia.


Responsibilities:

  • Agronomic expertise and technical support.
  • Digital farming solutions.
  • Market intelligence.
  • Plant nutrition product portfolio development, sale, implementation and monitoring.
  • Sales planning and forecasting, ordering and logistics.
  • Stakeholder and relationship management, applicable to the commercial farming sector.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal communication,
  • Negotiation skills,
  • Ability to define problems; collect information; make sound judgements and involve relevant experts,
  • Exercising sales collaboration with internal and external stakeholders,
  • Ability to work independently within a diverse and geographically dispersed teams.

Qualifications:

  • BsC. Agric degree or associated qualification.
  • Additional agricultural workrelated certificates will be advantageous.
  • Proven track record of similar work experience in agronomic support and plant nutrition sales to commercial agricultural producers.
  • Minimum 34 years experience in an agronomy and sales role.
  • MS Office experience.
  • Agronomy expertise and knowledge.
  • Fluent in english, written and verbal.
