Forensic Scientist

We are seeking a skilled forensic scientist to join our team and assist in responding to call-outs, offering expertise at crime scenes, and reviewing reports.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for leading teams, conducting investigations and reconstructions independently, and preparing comprehensive reviews of complex and serious crime scenes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Making assessments and conducting investigative tasks.
- Identifying and gathering physical evidence, along with detailed note-taking.
- Attending autopsies for observation, evidence collection, and photography.
- Processing evidence within the laboratory setting.
- Creating reports for use in court proceedings and delivering expert testimony.
- Reconstructing and elucidating events for clarity.
- Supervising and guiding junior staff members.
- Ensuring the efficacy of equipment through maintenance and testing.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in forensic science, natural science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of technical experience in a forensic laboratory setting.
- Proven track record of providing expert witness testimony in legal settings.
- Proficiency in bloodstain pattern analysis.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and polygraph examination.
- Willingness to carry out duties of an intense nature, such as in serious situations.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and public holidays.
