Our client's offices are based locally and internationally.

They are currently looking for a SAICA Audit Clerk to join their team in Oudtshoorn, with positions also available in Mosselbaai and George.


Job Title:
SAICA Audit Clerk

Salary:
R8500-R12 500(depending on qualifications and experience).

We are looking for a SAICA audit clerk to join our audit company. As a SAICA clerk, you will be part of
an audit team that performs audits of various clients in different industries. You will also get
exposure, but not limited to, the compilation of financial statements, independent reviews, tax
calculations and monthly accounting. The monthly accounting tasks would include the processing of
large volumes of accounting transactions, calculation and reconciliation of VAT and payroll. It is
important for a SAICA clerk to understand auditing, as well as understanding the basics of the
accounting systems.
excellent organizational and communication skills are also important. We are looking for a team
and audit director.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12, studying towards a SAICA accredited degree in accounting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting practices and procedures.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Experience with financial software (Pastel/Sage Online/Xero) and knowledge of Draftworx
will be advantageous.

  • Fully bilingual : English and Afrikaans.

Main Duties:

  • Auditing of financial statements.
  • Compilation of financial statements.
  • Independent review of financial statements.
  • Processing of invoices and bank transactions.
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Reconciliation of debtors and creditors.
  • Preparation of year to date VAT reconciliations.
  • Completion and submission of VAT201 returns and payments.
  • Handling of SARS VAT reviews and audits.
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Keeping your SAICA assessment process up to date
