Overview / Responsibilities:

Wood is currently recruiting for a HSSEA Officer to support the HSSEA function and provide locations with HSSEA support in line with Wood policies and procedures, legislative requirements and best practice.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and administer CAIRS and HEART system inline with the global mandatory procedure.
  • Prepare and maintain statistical database for the region.
  • Prepare monthly HSSE Performance Report and submitted to the Group.
  • Maintain and administer all the HSSE Plans and registers for the Group.
  • Monitor health and safety inspections and leadership audits to ensure completion of all actions recorded.
  • Develop HSSE responses to potential project bids and other requirements.
  • Develop HSSE communications/safety alerts
  • Review and update HSSE Procedures and documents against internal/external audit findings including Emergency Response Plan and other security documents.
  • Officer HSSE duties in all EMEA and Australia meetings including meeting presentation preparation and minutes.
  • Prepare and maintain HSSE action register and ensuring timely closeout.
  • Day to Day support to the Quality Assurance Lead.
  • Promote an enthusiastic HSSEA culture that delivers positive commitment to and engages all employees in continuous improvement in HSSEA performance.
  • Be an active role model and lead by example to promote Wood's values and Code of Business Conduct.
  • Full implementation of the HSSEA Management Plan (Volume 7) for the Project.

Skills / Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Certificate or equivalent in OHS or related discipline.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Ability to compile, maintain and analyse Project HSSEA statistical data including graphical presentation.
  • Ability to facilitate HSSEA risk assessment processes.
  • Knowledge on ISO Risk), OH&S 45001 and ISO Environment).
  • Knowledge on HSSEA Management Systems & International Best Practises.
  • Ability to develop & perform HSSEA assurance audits and workplace inspections.
  • Ability to perform accident & incident investigations, including report writing

  • Must be able to lead from the front, set a positive example on the HSSEA behavior required from employees.
  • Confident, wellspoken, selfstarter, disciplined, detail and deadline orientated.
  • Good communication skills (proven ability to interact well with personnel at all organizational levels).
  • Good organizational skills (ability to plan and implement).
  • Good English writing skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills. Competence in Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
