CORPORATE SERVICES ETD ISDG - Environmental Health Practitioner

Requirements:

  • BTech in Environmental Health Occupational Health and Safety IV
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa
  • South African Council for Project and Construction Management
Professions (SACPCMP) will serve as an advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Planning and organising skills with good attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office package
  • A valid driver's licence will serve as an added advantage
Key Performance Areas

  • Monitor internal construction safety programmes
  • Assist with project specific H&S plan on request and under
supervision of an SPO.

  • Monitor compliance of subcontractors with Construction
Regulations.

  • Attend regular site meetings and progress meetings
  • Assist Project Managers with baseline risk assessments
  • Assist Project Managers with assessments on internal City contracts
  • Keep record and monitor the Department of Employment and
Labour notices.

  • Monitor site incident investigations
  • Establish a training matrix for construction works
  • Facilitate toolkit training sessions with SPO
