Primary Duties

  • Reviewing legislation
  • Minimizing and managing risk
  • Process and Procedure comparison
  • Identifying process and procedural gaps
  • Conducting various audits throughout the business.
  • Conducting internal investigations throughout the business units.
  • Provide the Internal Compliance Officer with support with managing Regulatory request i.e Reporting, Audits and Complaints, but not limited to the outlined duties

Secondary Duties

  • Providing learning and coaching support to employees' primary.
  • Providing process recommendations.
  • Submitting personal stats to the Team Leader.
  • Attending to all compliance related matters including escalated complaints both internal and external resolving as received in the Freshdesk group.
  • Proving disciplinary and or remedial recommendations as part of internal escalation investigations as well as feedback to the various department team leaders.

Competencies:

  • Must be computer literate. Windows 10 preferably.
  • Must be able to work on Excel and Word programs.
  • Sufficient debt review experience.
  • Understanding of the NCA, FICA, POPI, FAIS, Long term Insurance Act and Short term insurance Act.
  • Must have experience in the Insurance industry.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Debt Review.
  • Must be analytical.
  • Must have commercial awareness
  • Must have numerical skills
  • Must have planning and organisational skills.
  • Must have good communication and presentation skills.
  • Must display the ability to under broader business issues.
  • Must be able to problem solve.
  • Must be able to maintain independence and retain confidential information.
  • Must be able to think outside the box.
  • Must have conceptual thinking
  • Must be able to provide a high quality of work while under pressure.
  • Must be able to identify process and procedure gaps.
Must be able to remain calm and maintain professionalism at all times.
